PRP

PRP stands for Platelet Rich Plasma.  Platelets are powerful particles in the blood that normally concentrate at an area of injury and set off a signaling cascade that tells the body to heal or rejuvenate a damaged area. You can see this in action in a cut on your arm when straw colored fluid (plasma) concentrates along the edges of the healing cut. That fluid contains particles that are ‘telling’ the body that there is an injury there and that reconstruction is needed. Platelet rich plasma is made from a fresh sample of your own blood.  The sample is specially prepared to separate out, concentrate and then stimulate the platelets, which then are injected.

 

Allogeneic Allograft

An allogeneic allograft is regenerative tissue donated from another individual that is applied to diseased or chronically injured tissues in the recipient.

Our allograft tissue is harvested from live healthy umbilical cord tissue that was donated following Cesarean section during normal birth in the hospital setting, this material was traditionally discarded.  Modern technology allows us to carefully screen donors, and then process this material to create allogeneic allograft,  according to our tissue bank, accredited by The American Association of Tissue Banks, and our FDA registered laboratory.

The FDA, under its regulation CFR 361, allows the use of donated human tissue in medicine, if the tissue is minimally manipulated and for homologous use.  Our tissue meets guidelines for FDA exemption under CFR 361, since the umbilical cord is designated as a structural support tissue, and it is minimally manipulated, that is, it is simply concentrated and cryopreserved tissue.

The allograft tissue is specially prepared by our FDA approved and registered laboratories and can then be injected into the penis.
